Being from the South, I have always seen cotton growing naturally in the fields. It is a beautiful sight and one of the nostalgias of this region.

With the emergence of rustic barn weddings and all of the textural appeal in bridal bouquets, cotton is presenting itself as sought-after floral content in today’s market.

Yuletide Sleigh Ride

Every year, I spent Christmas with my family at my grandmother’s Victorian home. After a day of sleigh riding through the woods, looking for the perfect Christmas tree, we gathered around the fireplace and sipped hot cocoa. I wanted to capture that playful feeling of being in the woods, sledding as fast as you could, always careful not to run into the creek at the base of the hill. I drew inspiration from the woods near her house, where we would chop down the tree that would be decorated with ornaments that have been passed down for generations.
