When meeting with brides to plan the look of their weddings, no rx doctor they often show me their Pinterest boards to reference their likes. Very often, they have pinned several pictures showing burlap. The coarse woven fabric used for sacking is one of the hottest trends in weddings today, especially for those with vintage, outdoorsy, and field and farm themes. There are so many beautiful ways to add burlap accents to weddings.

A professional florist will wrap the stems of a bridal bouquet with a burlap ribbon, which is a tighter woven form of burlap and feels softer. It has a finished edge so it won’t unravel. The ribbon can be enhanced with print, stamped script or buttons.

Burlap ring bearer pillows with their natural hue and rough texture, offer a delightful and unexpected contrast to the young groomsman’s attire. Or have the young fellow wear a burlap bowtie to match the ring bearer pillow.

Burlap table runners atop a normal tablecloth contrast beautifully with soft, delicate floral centerpieces and look absolutely stunning in photos.

So many other uses come to mind, such as favor bags, guest book covers and cake plateau accents. Ask your florist for more ideas on using burlap as well as other unique styles for your wedding.
